DJI has announced the launch of the Zenmuse H30 series, which includes the H30T and H30 models. These new drone modules are designed to perform exceptionally well both day and night, offering more precise viewing angles. Both models are multi-sensor drone modules and are equipped to handle all weather conditions.
The H30T model integrates five main modules: a wide-angle camera, a zoom camera, an infrared thermal camera, a laser rangefinder, and an NIR auxiliary light. The H30 model includes four of these modules, excluding the thermal camera. Compatible with DJI Matrice 300 RTK and Matrice 350 RTK drones, the Zenmuse H30 series uses intelligent algorithms, allowing drone operators to see further and clearer during the day and improve night vision in dark environments.
Capabilities of the New Series
The Zenmuse H30 series allows drone operators to observe and record more details from greater distances. The high-resolution 40 MP zoom camera (up to 34x optical zoom and 400x digital zoom) enables emergency services, energy inspection operators, and other key infrastructure personnel to observe details such as license plates from a distance of 650 meters.
In conditions of smog or high atmospheric humidity, the electronic defogging function increases the clarity of the zoom camera image. The Zenmuse H30 series offers two levels of defogging, enhancing visibility in various operational conditions, from rescue operations to routine energy inspections.
The image stabilization algorithm of the Zenmuse H30 series reduces vibrations, delivering stable and clear images during tasks such as detailed power line inspections. The laser rangefinder provides information on the location of objects ranging from 3 to 3000 meters, outperforming the previous generation by 2.5 times.
Day and Night Image Quality
In low-light conditions, the zoom and wide-angle cameras of the Zenmuse H30 series automatically switch to night mode, ensuring continuous operation from day to night. The zoom camera in night mode supports IR Light for infrared enhancement and NIR lighting, increasing the effectiveness of nighttime surveillance and search-and-rescue operations.
Full-Color Night Vision and Black-and-White Night Vision modes offer live view and high-quality recordings, providing better visibility for rescue missions. Smart Capture image algorithms automatically assess the ambient light brightness, producing images with natural transitions between bright and dark areas, capturing rich details.
Thermal Imaging
The H30T thermal camera offers a resolution of 1280×1024 with up to 32x digital zoom. It can measure temperatures up to 1600°C, which is useful for detecting hot spots by firefighters. Infrared enhancement modes help rescue teams identify slight temperature differences between objects, people, and animals. The UHR (Ultra-High Resolution) Infrared Image function automatically activates at higher zoom levels, ensuring clear infrared images.
With the Link Zoom function, visible and thermal images can be compared side-by-side, facilitating faster object location. Users can also control the zoom on both cameras simultaneously, keeping their fields of view aligned and making quick object detection easier.
The Zenmuse H30 series has an IP54 rating, meaning it is dust and water-resistant, allowing for safe and reliable operation in harsh conditions. It can operate in extreme temperatures from -20°C to 50°C.
