We’re seeing more and more sleek, cordless upright vacuums on store shelves instead of traditional corded models. That’s no coincidence: manufacturers are developing technology so dynamically that today’s lightweight vacuums can match—and often exceed—the suction power of older, corded designs. Plus, there’s the convenience factor – no tangled cable and compact size mean many people simply don’t want to go back to large, bagged vacuums with a hose. And what if we add a wet cleaning feature on top of that, so we can say goodbye to a separate mop for good? Meet the Mova K30 Mix – a brand-new product in the segment of intelligent home equipment. In today’s article, I’ll show you not only its specifications and features but also share my impressions of using it, its strengths and weaker points as a 2-in-1 device. Let’s go!

First impressions and unboxing

Let’s start at the beginning. The Mova K30 Mix is designed to replace two devices: a classic vacuum cleaner and a mop. Even its name – “Mix” – points to the combination of dry vacuuming and wet mopping. The device arrives in quite a large box; upon opening it, you’ll see a truly extensive set of accessories. What did I find inside?

  • Vacuum body with the mopping module – factory-assembled in “mop” version.
  • Metal tube – for dry vacuuming (an extension to which we connect various nozzles).
  • Handle (grip) – plugged in at the top of the body, allowing you to steer the vacuum while mopping. Functional buttons are also located here.
  • Charging station – not only charges the battery but also serves for self-cleaning and drying the roller at 60°C.
  • Spare filter – a backup in case the currently used one wears out or gets dirty.
  • Spare roller brush – intended for mopping.
  • Cleaning brush – useful for removing minor dirt from filters and brushes.
  • Motor mount for dry operation – essential for switching from mopping to a classic upright vacuum mode.
  • Dust container – we attach it instead of the mopping module to use the “dry” vacuuming function.
  • Electric mini brush – great for upholstery and hard-to-reach places (e.g., in the car).
  • Multifunction brush – a classic nozzle for various surfaces.
  • Accessory holder – lets you store all the interchangeable tips in one place.
  • Cleaning solution – to be mixed with water when mopping floors.
  • Built-in battery – already installed in the main motor module.

It’s quite an impressive kit – clearly, the manufacturer (the Mova brand stemming from Dreame) aimed for a complete solution. The main body in its mopping version is almost ready to go right out of the box. The manufacturer recommends fully charging the battery first (charging takes about 300 minutes) before using it for the first time.

What can Mova K30 Mix do? – Specifications

The core of the device is a 300 W motor, generating suction power of around 18,000 Pa. That’s a solid figure for an upright vacuum class, translating into thorough collection of dust, larger debris, or hair in practice. The 2600 mAh battery provides up to 30 minutes of operation in mopping mode and up to 50 minutes in classic vacuuming mode (when used for “dry” cleaning).

Water tanks and the mopping function

Inside the mopping module, you’ll find a removable tank with two internal compartments. The first is for clean water (with detergent) – it has a capacity of 600 ml (you can actually fit up to 650 ml if you don’t overfill it). The second collects dirty water – it holds up to 500 ml in an upright position and 350 ml when the vacuum is tilted almost flat.

The mopping mode is designed so that dirty water is drawn into a separate tank. As a result, the floor is only briefly damp after the roller passes, which significantly shortens drying time. If needed, you can use suction-only mode. In this case, the device focuses solely on sucking up liquids from the cleaned surface and does not additionally wet the roller with clean water and detergent.

Quick mode change: from mop to classic vacuum

One of the key features of this vacuum is the ability to swiftly switch from mopping mode to standard upright vacuuming. Simply release the motor module (there’s a button at the top of the device, right next to where the handle attaches), detach the motor with the battery, and plug it into the second mount. There, instead of a water tank, you have a dust container. You can connect the metal tube and attach whichever brush you need at its end: the mini brush for upholstery or the multifunction turbo brush for floors and carpets. The entire operation takes literally a few seconds.

In terms of convenience, this is a bull’s-eye because you don’t have to buy two separate vacuums for your home – one with a mopping feature and another for quick cleanup, for example, of a couch or car. The Mova K30 Mix replaces both.

Wet operation: How does Mova K30 Mix handle mopping?

There are more and more 2-in-1 devices on the market, but I often see opinions that the mopping mode is merely an add-on and might not really replace a proper mop. In the case of the Mova K30 Mix, my tests showed that the device performs surprisingly well.

The mop roller adheres firmly to the floor, efficiently picking up all debris – from dust, scattered flour, coffee, dishwashing liquid to pet hair. I didn’t notice any major issues with leaving wet streaks or patches – water is dispensed wisely enough that the floor dries quickly. The device also has 4 wet cleaning modes: automatic (the device adjusts suction power based on the detected dirt level), ultra (the strongest, needs a moment to “rev up”), turbo (highest power), and suction (it sucks up liquid without wetting the roller with clean water – useful for spilled drinks).

The vacuum can lie nearly flat (the “lie-flat” system), up to a 180° angle, which greatly helps clean under beds or low-hanging cabinets. Keep in mind that in this nearly flat position, the maximum capacity for dirty water is reduced (down to 350 ml).

Maintenance after mopping

What happens when you’re done? You place the vacuum into the docking station, where you can activate the self-cleaning feature (the roller rotates in both directions for a moment, rinsing away dirt), and then start drying at 60°C. The entire process takes about 30 minutes. Only after this process finishes does the battery begin to recharge.

On the one hand, this is very practical, because the wet roller dries quickly, and there’s no risk of bad odors forming. On the other hand, the sounds are quite loud, both from the rotating brush and the roller-drying mode. In a small apartment, it might be a bit annoying if you want some peace and quiet. However, you don’t have to run this feature every time you dock the device. You can also easily remove the roller and wash it in a more traditional manner.

Dry operation: a maneuverable and powerful upright vacuum

The second face of the Mova K30 Mix is simply that of a classic upright vacuum. In this setup, we have two modes: standard (normal) and turbo (high suction).

The standard mode is completely sufficient for everyday cleaning of, for example, hard floors. For carpets or heavily soiled surfaces, you can choose the turbo mode. I noticed the construction of the floor turbo brush includes special combs that help capture and untangle hair and fur. However, when it comes to smaller debris or crumbs around edges, sometimes you need to make a few passes or use the multifunction nozzle.

The vacuum is relatively light (about 3.98 kg in 2-in-1 mode), which makes handling even easier when not using the mopping module. Some might see the lack of LED lights on the brush as a downside – in dark corners or under furniture, it can sometimes be harder to spot all the small bits.

Pros and cons in practice

Advantages

  • Versatility – one device replaces a mop and a classic vacuum cleaner.
  • High suction power – 18,000 Pa translates into thorough dirt collection.
  • Easy maintenance – swapping out the mop roller or filters is extremely simple.
  • Effective mopping – the device doesn’t leave major streaks, the floor dries quickly, and it cleans surfaces well.
  • Automatic cleaning and drying – a hygienic solution after you’re done working.
  • Automatic mode (wet) – automatically adjusts suction power to the dirt level.
  • Runtime – up to 30 minutes in mopping mode and 50 minutes in vacuuming mode allows cleaning even large apartments without frequent recharging.

Disadvantages

  • No LED lights on the brush – can make cleaning in shady areas more difficult.
  • Noisy drying process – the loud sounds during self-cleaning can be bothersome.
  • Limited grip ergonomics – larger hands might accidentally press the module release button.
  • No precise battery indicator – we only have three bars, which doesn’t always give a clear enough view of the remaining charge.
  • Drying excludes simultaneous charging – if you need a quick switch from mopping to a longer vacuuming session, there might be a delay.

Price and is it worth buying?

The manufacturer’s suggested price is around 1749 PLN. A launch promotion offered an 11% discount, so it was possible to get it for about 1550 PLN. Considering that you get two fully functional devices in one (plus a rich set of accessories with a spare roller, filters, and various attachments), the offer seems appealing.

It’s a good option especially for those who are considering buying a mopping upright vacuum but don’t want separate devices for mopping and vacuuming. The Mova K30 Mix will work in most homes and apartments, especially where there are different types of floors: panels, tiles, or even rugs, because it’s so easy to switch from wet to dry mode.

Everyday use

During my two-week test, I put the Mova K30 Mix through its paces in various places. On a full battery, I could easily mop the floors in a 170 m² home. During that time, I had to refill the clean water with detergent a few times and empty the dirty water tank. I also noticed that the mopping section is slightly less agile compared to the dry vacuum mode. However, I really liked how effortlessly the mop runs. You can feel it practically pulling itself forward, making cleaning easier on the hands. If you have wooden or laminate stairs at home, the Mova K30 Mix can be useful here (both in mopping and classic modes). Personally, I missed having an extra handle or grip for more convenient carrying between steps.

Summary

The Mova K30 Mix is a solid choice for those who want a convenient way to handle both dry vacuuming and wet floor cleaning. Technology in these types of devices has come a long way, and cordless upright vacuums proved long ago that they can compete with traditional “corded” models not just in terms of convenience but also in suction power.

Here, you additionally get a mop function, and the device is light and intuitive enough that cleaning your entire home—from hard floors and carpets to your couch or car interior—just becomes simpler overall.

Yes, the lack of LED lighting on both brushes and the loud roller-drying might irritate some, as well as the not-so-precise battery indicator. But overall, you get a powerful motor, good cleaning efficiency, and 2-in-1 versatility. It’s also worth emphasizing the convenience of the automatic roller cleaning and drying feature, which makes it much easier to keep the vacuum itself clean. This device simply does a good job of mopping and vacuuming.
