Is the Yoer VitaSave FD01S Worth It? Honest Dehydrator Review & Opinions

In today’s video, I’m testing the new Yoer VitaSave FD01S food dehydrator. To do that, I took it with me to the Lublin region of Roztocze—a picturesque area known for its abundant forests and, consequently, for mushrooms. The trip had a specific purpose: to gather fresh mushrooms straight from the forest and to start the dehydrator that very same day to see how it handles a practical challenge outside of a home kitchen environment. And why did I buy this dehydrator? Because my previous one—the rotating type—stopped working. I’d appreciate it if you could like this video and subscribe—it will help in the growth of this channel. Thanks!

Yoer VitaSave is a device from a Polish manufacturer, which I purchased for 50 euros. Right from the start, its appearance caught my eye. It has a modern, minimalist design, and the silver-black housing looks great with the transparent tray elements. The whole thing gives an impression of solidity and aesthetics, and the brushed stainless steel INOX finish adds a touch of elegance. It’s a piece of equipment you can easily place in a visible spot in the kitchen, instead of hiding it in a cabinet after each use.

What’s inside the box

Inside the box, I found a really rich set of accessories. In addition to the five transparent trays, the manufacturer included silicone molds for muesli, inserts for drying herbs and making fruit leathers, as well as trays that allow you to dry cookies, soups, or sauces. It’s quite a large set that makes the dehydrator extremely versatile. I must admit that at first, this variety was a bit overwhelming. I wasn’t entirely sure how to use all the accessories. Unfortunately, the user manual didn’t fully clear up my doubts. Fortunately, the manufacturer posted photos and detailed descriptions on their website, which helped me understand the purpose of each element. Perhaps a minor drawback is the lack of a dedicated case to store all these accessories together, but that’s more of a detail than a serious shortcoming.

The main advantage of the VitaSave FD01S is its functionality. The dehydrator has a power of 450 watts and a temperature range from 35 to 70 degrees Celsius. This is important because not all products require the same temperature, and properly adjusting it helps preserve the flavor and nutritional value of the dried ingredients. You can set the operating time for up to 24 hours, and a clear LCD display is used for control. It’s simple: select the temperature, set the time, start it up, and you’re done. However, there is one small detail that might be annoying: the minimum operating time you can set is one hour. This means that if, after finishing drying, I want to add just a few extra minutes, I must set another full hour in advance. It’s a minor downside, but if you really want full precision, it can be inconvenient.

Transparent trays with little adjustment

The unit’s trays are transparent, which means you can observe the drying process without opening the lid. Additionally, the modular design allows you to adjust the space between the trays. Unfortunately, the difference between the possible height settings isn’t very large, so it can still be tight when dealing with larger product pieces. Even so, I’m glad the manufacturer thought of providing any adjustment at all, as many devices of this type don’t offer that. You can also purchase additional trays to increase the drying area. I noticed that, as in other similar devices, the drying efficiency is best near the base of the tray. Hence, building too many extra layers may not be as effective as one would hope. Another important advantage is the built-in fan (convection), which ensures even heat distribution. Thanks to this, the drying process is more efficient, although in practice, you may still want to switch the trays around occasionally so that the products on the upper levels have equally good conditions as those below.

During tests, the dehydrator worked very quietly. This is especially important if you use it in the evening and don’t want the noise to interfere with daily activities or sleep. I immediately tested it in practical conditions—heading out to Roztocze and collecting plenty of mushrooms. This was the perfect opportunity to see how the device would perform in the field. After returning to the summer cottage, all I had to do was plug the dehydrator in, and shortly thereafter begin drying. I had no problems at all. The mushrooms dried evenly, retained their aroma, and I didn’t have to worry about long drying in the sun or the risk of mold.

Accessories

The accessories aroused my curiosity, especially the herb and muesli inserts. Herbs are often problematic because they’re small, lightweight, and can be easily blown off or overdried. The herb-drying inserts ensured no leaves fell through, and I could effortlessly enjoy my own dried herbs. The muesli molds inspired me to experiment. I tested a few recipes and prepared healthy snacks. I’ll definitely make them more often. It was a nice change from just drying mushrooms or fruits—it turned out that the dehydrator can be a tool for culinary experiments, not just a seasonal device pulled out when there’s a mushroom glut.

When I finished drying, I appreciated being able to wash the trays in the dishwasher. This saves time and makes it much easier to keep the device clean. You simply remove the trays, pop them into the dishwasher, and you don’t have to worry about them warping or getting damaged. The non-slip base was also useful—the dehydrator remained stable even on a smooth countertop, without shifting or vibrating.

What i don’t like

Not everything about the VitaSave FD01S is perfect. Beyond the small detail about the minimal time setting, I would have liked a bit more flexibility in adjusting the tray height. I feel the manufacturer could have given it a slightly more adaptable design. Also, the user manual should be more detailed, especially regarding the use of accessories. A beginner might get a bit lost with all the options. Perhaps the manufacturer assumes that many users will look up information online, but I believe it should be clearly described right from the start.

Another consideration is the price. 50 euros is not cheap, especially given that you can find simpler dehydrators on the market for a little over half that price. However, after testing the device, I can see what I’m paying for. I’m getting a modern design, plenty of accessories, a fan function, and temperature control. Plus, the ability to dry liquid products like soups or sauces is a feature rarely seen in cheaper models. This versatility makes the price seem justified. If someone is looking for a comprehensive, multifunctional device, is willing to spend a bit more, and appreciates additional capabilities, the VitaSave FD01S could be a worthwhile investment.

Summing up my impressions, I must admit that the Yoer VitaSave FD01S food dehydrator made a positive impression on me. It’s a solid device for those who want to dry not only mushrooms or fruits but also herbs, meat, muesli, and even experiment with drying liquid products. With its 450W power and temperature adjustment, drying proceeds efficiently, and the wide range of accessories allows you to explore new culinary possibilities. Despite small shortcomings, such as limitations in precise time settings or the slight difference in tray height adjustments, overall, I rate it positively. The device feels well thought out and durable, and its quiet operation and easy cleaning confirm its practical value.

Summary

So, if you’re considering purchasing a food dehydrator and you care about functionality, quality workmanship, and the ability to dry a wide range of products, the Yoer VitaSave FD01S may be the right choice. However, if you’re looking for the simplest and cheapest option, think about whether you really need all those extras and accessories. For me, this model turned out to be truly enjoyable to use—it opened up new horizons in the kitchen and proved that drying doesn’t have to be limited to just one or two seasonal uses.
